This policy explains how Cruise with Derek ("we", "us") handles your personal information when you use the cruisewithderek.com website, the members area and the Cruise with Derek mobile app.
What we collect
- Account details - your name, email address and password (stored securely as a hash), and your mobile number if you provide it.
- Booking details - the cruise you have booked, your booking reference, departure date and travel companions, provided through Cruise1st.
- Things you share - community posts, replies, poll votes, quiz answers, messages to Derek and your optional profile photo.
- App notifications - if you use the mobile app and allow notifications, a device token so we can send you the alerts you have chosen.
How we use it
- To run your members area account and show you your cruise information.
- To operate the private community for your cruise - your name appears on your posts as first name plus surname initial only.
- To send you the email and app notifications you have chosen. You can turn these off at any time in My Account.
- To help Cruise1st assist you with your booking when you contact them.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
- We do not share it with third parties for their marketing.
- We do not track you across other websites or apps.
Who we share it with
Cruise1st (our booking partner) holds your booking information. Expo delivers app push notifications using an anonymous device token. Cruise pages may embed YouTube videos, which load from YouTube when you play them. We use no advertising or analytics networks.
How long we keep it
Your account and community content are kept while your membership is active. If your account is deleted, your personal details are removed from the members area.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask for your account to be deleted. Email customerservices@cruise1st.co.uk or call 0161 385 7425 (Mon-Sat 9am-5pm).
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above.
